The Delicious Dish

This post has nothing to do with spanking, so feel free to skip it if you like. I'm going to talk about food.

One of the funniest Saturday Night Live sketches occurred back in Season 28, episode 9. The sketch was a recurring take-off of a National Public Radio program. The two hosts of the show were Margaret Jo McCullen (played by Ana Gasteyer) and Teri Rialto (played by Molly Shannon). The name of their NPR program was, "The Delicious Dish", and that night, since Christmas was fast approaching, their guest was the owner of the "Season's Eatings" bakery, Pete Schweddy (played by Alec Baldwin).

(Some of you are already nodding your heads and know the sketch I'm talking about.)

The two hosts ask him about some of his baked goods, and while he mentions things like Zuchinni Bread and Fruitcake, he must admit that the one thing that everybody seems to love are his Balls.

You can see where this sketch is going, can't you?

Needless to say, the double entendres start flying at this point. In the end, Pete can't help but comment that everybody seems to love his Schweddy Balls.

(If you're interested, I'm sure that YouTube or Hula probably have a clip of the sketch to watch. A Google search could also probably turn up a transcript.)

You may be wondering why I'm bringing this up. Well, guess what the newest flavor of Ben & Jerry's ice cream is called.......

The product is "Vanilla Ice Cream with a Hint of Rum & Loaded with Fudge Covered Rum & Malt Balls." Sounds like a winner to me!

I bet you just can't wait to get your hands on some.....
