June Brides, part 1

As I mentioned in an early post, June is still the month for weddings.  Brides go to great lengths to look their best.  So, ladies....time to put on that wedding finery!

On the other hand, it probably needs to be repeated, anyway....and often!

Silent Sunday -- Father's Day Edition

Let's kick this off with that classic Panorama magazine cover which, I'm sure, must have sold many, many copies....

In this Fathers Day 1976 issue, the headline reads, "Father and Daughter:  Something Special."  And it certainly is a special bond--although I'm not sure the daughter in the cover photo is appreciating how "special" it is.

In the Spanking world, of course, the husband/boyfriend is often something of a father-figure, and the wife/girlfriend can be seen as a naughty daughter who needs to be corrected.  So Happy Fathers Day to all the "daddys" and "daughters" out there!

To close this post out, I mentioned that Panorama magazine probably sold many copies of the issue shown above.  I don't have the sales figures, of course.  But it must have done well because later in Panorama's existence, they basically ran the same cover again.  It wasn't, as far as I know, a Fathers Day issue, and the models are different.  But with a cover blurb that reads, "What to do with our naughty daughters?  Spanking!", it's a good way to close out this special edition.

Not As Funny

Anybody remember Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In?

There was a segment that was usually referred to as the "Dance Party".  Some music would play, people would dance, the music would stop, and then there'd be a joke, either a one-liner from one of the cast member, or a standard two-person joke, the first person setting it up and the second person delivering the punchline.

I remember one of them to this day.  The music stopped, and Dick Martin looked very earnestly into the eyes of the girl he was standing with and said, "I want to make love to you in the worst possible way!"

And she replied, "How about standing up in a canoe?"

For some reason that joke came back to me when I saw this drawing while browsing online.

The set-up line changes very nicely to, "I want to spank you in the worst possible way!"

However, let's be honest--the punchline, "How about collared, kneeling, and on a boat?".....not as funny....

Drawing On Experience

A few drawings featuring our favorite subject.....

This drawing is based on an old spanking picture.  I recognize the pose and the spankee's flying hair.  The man has been given some facial hair to make it look different.  Nice touch!

No spanking in this one, but Clip Art of Bettie Page?  Who can resist?

Another naughty schoolgirl being tended to by the Matron.  Judging from the waving hand, the kicking leg, and the lost shoe--I think the Matron is doing an excellent job of making sure this girl learns her lesson!

I know a few ladies who are on the "Naughty List"--and this treatment shouldn't wait until Christmas!  (from Spank Hard magazine)

This just makes me sad, and I've complained about it before.  I understand that, to whoever saved this picture and posted it, the spanking drawing was the most important thing.  But it's a cartoon, a gag from one of the old Men's Humor magazines and by cropping the caption, they've really ruined the whole thing!  What's a cartoon gag without a punchline???
