"K" is for Kiss Me Kate.....
....also known to Spankos like us as, "That musical with the spanking in it!" Up until a few years ago, that wonderful scene usually looked like this....
Then along came the production with Rachel York as Kate, and someone had the realization that today's audiences weren't that prudish anymore, and the sight of a pair of bloomers wouldn't offend anyone or cause the entire audience to have a heart attack.......
Since then, any lady playing Kate had better remember to wear her slip or her pantaloons--'cause that skirt is coming up!
Which raises the question--will this ever become the standard KMK scene?
We can only hope.....

Methinks the wide popularity of that production, and its key scene of the "shrew" being tamed (and its longevity) attest to the fact that there may be a lot more spankos out there than most people might think. Personally, I'm looking forward to the "new normal" being Kate getting her spanking not only with her skirt up but with no pantaloons on at all... ;-)

YES!! We can definitely hope!!!
smuccatelli -- You might have to wait many, many years for that one
wolfman7446 -- Fingers crossed!
What a great find for K in your Alphabet soup series. KMK is without a doubt a spankos most identifiable part of our culture and mindset. We enjoy its progression as well. Skirts and dress's up to expose the pantaloons. I also enjoy seeing all the Kate's otk. Great finds. Thank you for sharing them. Have a great day.

There HAVE been a few, live, bare-bottomed spanking scenes in stage productions (although not full-blown costumed plays like KMK) although you're probably correct in that it will take some time for it to be common...
Jim -- Both Chross and Richard Windsor have great "Kiss Me Kate" picture collections. You might want to check those out, as well.
smuccatelli--We'll just have to wait and see (and cross our fingers)
