Friday Funnies
Here are a couple of old newspaper comic strips that happen to feature some old=fashioned discipline.
The first one (Mr. Rumbles) I never knew about until I ran across it while browsing the internet. The second one (Mary Worth), I remember seeing it in the newspaper when I was a kid. I already had some kind of an interest in spanking at the time, and at the first opportunity, I planned to cut the comic out of the paper and save it. Sadly, when I went looking for it later on, my mother had already tossed it out in the garbage. Years later, again thanks to on-line browsing--you can probably find both of these at the Chicago Spanking Review site--I was finally able to find it and save it to a file.
Here they are (click on them to enlarge)::

Warning In Advance
"THE LURKERS ARE COMING! THE LURKERS ARE COMING!"
November 12 and 13, 2014 |
Yes, that most wonderful time of the year, LOVE OUR LURKERS DAY, is fast approaching. For the past eight years, led by the wonderful Bonnie, whose blog, "My Bottom Smarts" set the standard for spanking blogs everywhere, we bloggers have set aside a special day dedicated to those people who come read our blogs on a regular basis but never leave a comment. We affectionately call them "lurkers". This year, Hermione of "Hermione's Heart" takes the lead.
Like in the past years, LOL day is meant to be the day that the lurkers can have their say. We encourage all lurkers to leave a comment on that day--say something, say anything. Tell us what you like about our blogs, tell us what you don't like, tell us what you'd like to see more of, or just tell us, "Hi. Like your blog." It's the only time of the year we ask this of you. You can go back to lurking the other 364 fsyd. But all bloggers LOVE feedback, and we'd like to hear from everyone out there, not just our regular contributors.
And this year, LOL day has expanded. It's actually going to be over a two-day period: NOVEMBER 12TH AND 13TH.
We know that people browse an awful lot of blogs. You're not necessarily going to be able to get to every single blog that you want to in a day. Even a short comment takes more time than just lurking. And I know from past experience that, no matter what day LOL day was on, I'd still be getting a comment or two 3 or 4 days later. By making it a two-day event, you now have time to hit all your favorite blogs, and still leave a little something creator of the blog to read.
So mark it on your calendars--November 12 and 13 will be "Love Our Lurkers Days". For just this one time, drop on by and don't be shy.

Checking In
"You go on ahead. I'll meet you in the conference room. I just want to pop in and check on Ms. Winters. I told her I'd spank her if I caught her sleeping at her desk again!"

Don't Panic
If you're a regular reader of this blog, don't worry --
I haven't suddenly changed the format to M/m.
In true movie fashion, both Hollywood and (in this case) Foreign, this is actually a woman disguised as a boy for plot reasons that my mind refuses to remember. My mind also refuses to come up with the title of the film, although I'm sure some of my readers out there could supply these details. If I remember correctly, the lady in the movie does this to spy on her ex-husband and his new girlfriend (don't hold me to that, though.) When the "boy" throws a bit of a tantrum, she discovers that her ex-husband firmly believes that bad boys get spanked, much to her (and her bottom's) dismay.
The same thing happened to Doris Day in the movie, On Moonlight Bay...
Now, to be fair, Doris wasn't deliberately disguising herself as a boy--this was just the uniform she wore when she played baseball. And to her spanker's credit, he figured out after one swat that she was a girl. (Doris must have had a very soft bottom.)
The moral of this story (if it really has one) is: Ladies, don't dress up like boys. We like you much better when you wear that fancy, pretty, frilly, frou-frou kind of stuff.
It's less confusing for us. :-)
