Ubisoft made a game for the WII and the PS3 called, "We Dare" and released a trailer for it which made it look like a fun "adult game". There were gameplay shots of kissing, stripping and, yes, spanking. Well, actually, it showed the gameplayers sort of doing these things.
And then--they gave the game a rating that suggested it was suitable for players 12 years of age and up.
The backlash, as you can imagine, was overwhelming--and all this just for the ad! The game hadn't even been released yet! And--based on the response--Ubisoft decided to NOT release the game in the United States or the UK.
So, all we're left with are these pictures and the TV ad, which you can still see on YouTube. Just do a search for "We Dare" on your favorite search engine.
One thing you will notice if you watch the ad is that there is no actual spanking taking place. The game controller is in a back pocket or a waistband and that is what you're interacting with. I can't help but wonder, though, in those countries where the game was released--how many people use that portion of the game as an excuse to smack someone's bottom for real? "Oh, sorry, I missed. Sorry, missed again!"

jim -- For years I've thought that one of the major consoles, be it XBox, PlayStation, or Nintendo, should come up with some kind of a spanking game. Maybe someday...
