Btw...I just found your blog last night. I may have to come up with a nickname since I might post here once and a while. Really like the blog you have here. I too am from MN. :-)
Dave, I had goosebumps. Imagine all that has changed in the past 50 years. The Canadian TV news was calling it a historic moment even before any results were in.
Anonymous--Thanks! The picture is an old one from Nu-West. I believe it's a still from one of their "Spanked Females" videos. The numbers in the senate race are still changing. From what I hear, the recount could take until the middle of next month... Definitely try to come up with a nickname--something shorter than nine letters, maybe. :-) Glad to count you as a new reader, and I hope you come back often. We need all the Minnesotans we can get.
Michael--Thanks, Michael, although "legend" might be stretching it just a tad....
Dave--I agree. The man knows how to give a good speech. No matter what happens over the next four years, it's a new day in America--and the air is very refreshing...
Season--that's why we have TVS and radios. :-)
Hermione--it was going to be historic no matter the outcame. Either we would have our first black president or we'd have our first female vice president. Now it's over, the American people have spoken, and the next 4 years could be an amazing time in our lives....
Great picture. I was thrilled to vote in such a historical election. Just wish I knew who won the senate race here. Could be a while for the recount.

ReplyDeleteDr. Ken, you're becoming a legend in Minnesota. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteDid anyone *not* get goosebumps watching President-Elect Obama's stirring speech Tuesday night, election night, in Grant Park, Chicago?
ReplyDeleteTruly, this is magical moment in history.
Dave -- you said it! Just wish I could have been there in person.
ReplyDeleteA very naughty girl, indeed!
