November the 5th--the dawn of a new era in American politics. And the dawn of a new number on my blog--yesterday, we had our 100,000th visitor since I started keeping stats!!!! Thank you one and all for coming here to check out my little bits of scribbling and doggerel. I hope you're enjoying it as much as I enjoy doing it. Keep coming back--I like the company!
One last bit of political news that I saw on the Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC (well, maybe the last--I don't want to make any promises I can't keep, y'know):
In the 14th district Senate race of Colorado, incumbent Bob Bacon (D) has defeated his opponent, Republican challenger Matt Fries. That's right--I can see the headline now:
Bacon Tops Fries
It was a hotly contested race, with emotions on both sides broiling over in a contest that probably got a bit salty from time to time......
And now, for some strange, inexplicable reason, I feel compelled to post a picture of a hamburger--
I had no idea that fries were bottoms. Learn something new everyday.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100K!
Doc that was the food I had the biggest craving for when I was in Europe. YUMMY HAMBURGERS!
ReplyDelete:)

Season--ordinarily, they aren't. But that Bacon can be a pushy bastard....
ReplyDeleteCJ--I'm with you on that one. According to my mother, when I was a kid I could have eaten a hamburger for every meal every day and been perfectly happy. We go out as a family to a fine restaurant--music, ambient lighting, linen napkins, thw works--and all I'd want was a hamburger.
Sometimes I'd have to "settle" for filet mignon.....
Congratulations on reaching the 100,000 mark! That is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI am literally salivating looking at that cheeseburger. Must ... click ... close ...
Pixie--ewwwwwwwwww, pixie drool..... :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by, Pixie, and thanks for the nice words. It means a lot, and you're welcome to drop by my blog anytime. :-)
And for some reason, now I want to go have dinner.....
