Great toons.I love Espec's one and am glad you are using his artwork for some toons. Magazine spanking artwork is a very great treat. The first artwork should have been what happened to Marie Antoinette instead of what did happen in the French Revolution. Great finds thanks for sharing and enjoy your day. Jim
Susan -- The caption roughly translates to "A woman of rank whipped for spitting on the portrait of Mr. Necker." Proof that a spanking for an adult female is nothing new!
A little history sidenote, I believe the first pic depicts the very real public spanking of a lady of some quality either before or during the French Revolution. The public exposure drove her quite mad and she attended several public venues in the nude afterwards, finally being locked up as quite mentally insane. Moreover, countless women of means and quality were waylaid by the lower classes, stripped naked, tied to trees and whipped or birched in public throughout the Revolution. Wonder which they would have preferred, the public thrashings or the guillotine? Sadly, some probably suffered both. At one point some 300 nuns were dragged from the convent and thrashed publicly upon their nude persons. They call spanking the English vice, but only the French took it to an industrial scale. Just thought you should know!
Thanks for sharing another great group of drawings.

Jim -- If it had, her well known quote might have been, "Let them eat cake...standing up."
DeleteVery impressed with that first drawing from the past.

DeleteDr Ken chastising the female rear end is as old as humanity. In fact corporal punishment generally is also the same age.
ReplyDeleteSusan -- So, as I said--nothing new. It's good to know that I'm carrying on a time-honored tradition...:-)
DeleteHi! Dr. Ken, the third couple elm to be enjoying themselves very much!!! Bye for now, Aussie Jenny.
ReplyDeleteAussieJenny -- Yes, they do! There is that side to spanking, too. Sometimes it can be just for fun...
DeleteI’m all in for fun, but!!!___😬 Bye for now, Aussie Jenny
ReplyDeleteAussieJenny -- Oh, I think you'd be okay with it...😊
