The Traditional Method

Some schools still adhere to the traditional methods of discipline...

  6. Jimc: I hate to disagree... Oh bother it, no I don't I love to disagree. OTK was only ever traditional in domestic settings and then only young children and sometimes older girls. When the birch was used horsing boys and girls was the most common method with the birching block as an alternative. In British schools in the past bending over to touch the toes and be caned or slippered was the most common punishment. Bare bottom school punishments for girls are more fantasy than anything. When Jane Eyre was written in the 1840s it was already seen as indecent to birch a girl on her bare bottom in school so Helen is birched on her upper back. You may prefer OTK and why not but there is nothing traditional about it.

  7. Jim -- OTK may be the traditional method when it comes to spankings at home, but I have to agree with Susan here. You won't find OTK spanking in schools unless you're looking online on a "Spankings R Us"-type of adult website. (Apologies if there really is a spanking site with that name!)

Susan -- Thanks for saying approximately what I was going to say. You probably said it better, though!
