Love Our Lurkers 8

It's that magical time of the universe.....Tuesday after lunch....and our intrepid heroes have just.....

No, wait...that's something else entirely.

It's Love Our Lurkers day, is what it is.

Or I should say, Tuesday, Nov. 12th, was Love Our Lurkers day.  Somehow, the last several years, I've never found out about this special day until several days after the event.  We really need a better way to get the word out so that even people like me can hear about it in advance and participate.

Mind you, I'm not sure how we'd do that.

I remember the first few years of LOL day.  Bonnie of MY BOTTOM SMARTS actually sent out emails about it.  Quite impossible to do these days, of course.  She'd have to spend several days doing nothing but email to cover the vast number of spanking blogs out there.  Still, I wish I'd found out about it in time.

So, what I think we should do--and what I'm going to do here, anyway--is declare this to be not LOL day, but Love Our Lurkers Week!  That way I--and all those other bloggers out there who came to the party a bit late--can still participate in a timely manner.

And, of course, that means that all of you wonderful people out there--the ones this day is named for--can still drop in and look around.  And, of course, do the one thing you don't normally do--leave a comment!  We love hearing from you...really, we do!  And I can certainly understand going to a blog, looking around, and then leaving without a word.  Even I do that from time to time.

But this is the one day of the year dedicated to you.  It's our chance to show our appreciation to all our visitors.  So please take a moment to reciprocate.  You don't have to leave a lengthy message...you don't even have to use your real name.  Even a simple "hi" is fine.  I leave the details up to you.

I'd love to hear from you.  It's what Love Our Lurkers day is all about....and it would make my day, too!

  2. Hi Dr Ken,

Well, it's about time! I love your blog and often visit.

LOL day is typically held in November. Bonnie usually announces LOL day a couple of weeks in advance of the day, and many of us also advertise it on our blogs. You're right, the system of emailing all bloggers would be impossible, given the huge number of spanking blogs out there.

Mark your 2014 calendar with a reminder on Nov 1 to check Bonnie's blog for announcements.

    Hugs,
    Hermione

  3. I saw that there were no comments and I felt real bad so I feel like it is finally time to break my silence.

I'm Danny, and I enjoy visiting your blog. I've been silent because I'm still coming to terms with this little fascination we both share. There, I participated in LOL. Haha. Thanks Dr. Ken for extending it to a week because I always am so fashionably late.

  4. I was going to say what Hermione said. I nearly missed LOL day this year, but it's easy to find out the date. Just stop by Bonnie's blog in late October or early November.

Besides, the fun of LOL Day is plenty to stretch out a few days afterward. :)

  5. MrBBSpanker -- Nope, never too late! Thanks for dropping by!

Hermione -- Weren't you supposed to remind me about LOL day? I think someone needs a spanking.... :-)

Danny -- Well, bless your heart for breaking your silence. Good luck coming to terms with "This Thing We Do". It's well worth exploring!

ANA -- I don't always get to drop by blogs in a timely manner. There's so many I like, it's hard to get to them all--even Bonnie's great blog. Sometimes weeks go by before I get back there....

  6. Dr Ken -

It is hard to keep up with LOL day even if you start on the designated day. I am still attempting to catch up on all the LOL related posts.

Just wanted to say I visit your blog often, comment occasionally, but always enjoy stopping by. Your blog is one of the ones, that seems non-judmental and more down to earth which in turn makes ut very welcoming.

    Best,
    Enzo
