Currently Drinking: Arizona Pomegranate Green Tea. Pomegranate must be the hot new flavor now. I'm seeing it everywhere. Just this past week I saw Mike's Hard Pomegranate Lemonade. If I didn't still have about 8 bottles of Mike's Hard Lime sitting in the fridge, I would have been tempted to buy it and try it.
Someone apparently figured out that Pomegranate juice was a good source of antioxidants. Yeah, and Brawndo has electrolytes. It's what plants crave........(What do you mean, you've never seen Idiocracy?)
Currently Listening To: The soundtrack to the movie Shall We Dance?--Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez. Specifically, I'm listening to the first two tracks--Sway, performed by The Pussycat Dolls, and Santa Maria (Del Buen Ayre), performed by the Gotan Project, which has an intoxicating Tango beat to it. I don't know--it just seems to suit my mood and my frame of mind.
Currently Watching: Weeds, Season 1. I rented it from Blockbuster. After all the chatter about the spanking scene the current season has, I figured I had best catch up on the series. I intend to watch Seasons 2 and 3 as well so that I know who's who and what's what.
Currently Reading: Everything's Eventual, a collection of short stories by Stephen King. The man packs a lot into a few pages and still manages to get a reader reaction. I'm also reading Up In A Heaval by Piers Anthony. I'm getting a nice mix of Fantasy and Horror.....
Currently Eating: Well, nothing at the moment--it's hard to eat and type. But the plan is to eventually prepare some spaghetti and heat up meatballs and Ragu sauce. A little parmesan cheese, a diet coke to drink......and then eat in front of the TV and watch the next couple episodes of Weeds.
Current Mood: Rather neutral, really. I'm not whistling a happy tune, but I'm not down in the dumps, either. Mostly just trying to get through the work week and make it to the weekend. I know that doesn't sound very exciting, but it's the truth.
Things I'd Rather Be Doing:
Do you even need to ask?
Oh, Dr. Ken! You're breaking my heart - only 10 days til labor day?! The reality of that hit me hard when I read your post.
ReplyDeleteI just started watching Weeds, and had not heard about the spanking scene, so now I'm really excited to get to it!
Radha
Thanks for the update, Doc. Yeah, the summer flew by. Before you know it we'll soon be hearing Christmas Carols. I love Christmas but it seems to arrive earlier every year helped along by the retailers who extend the season to make more money. I have the Weeds DVDS on my 'to watch' list after hearing the buzz about that spanking on Chross's blog.

Radha--The last thing in the world that I would want to do is break your heart (or break anybody's heart, for that matter), but what can I say? Next weekend is Labor Day weekend, and after that, it'll probably snow.
ReplyDeleteThis IS Minnesota, after all.....
Michael--Christmas Carols? You mean it's time for "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" AGAIN?
I'm watching Season 1 of Weeds, and I know my Blockbuster has Seasons 2 and 3. The spanking, I guess, must be in the current Season 4. No telling when that DVD will come out, but at least I'll be up-to-date and know who the main characters are....
The clip is rather enjoyable, if you haven't watched it already....
Yes, Dr. Ken, I saw the clip on Chross's blog, and like you, I am catching up on the earlier seasons of 'Weeds' so I can pick it up when the current season is released on DVD.

Mmmm, I like the Mike's line of lemonade and other assorted fruit flavours too. Luckily it's still hot enough to need coolers!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Hermione
Let's break open a case of Mike's Hard Lemonade and party like it's 1999! while listening to the Pussycat Dolls! or something!
ReplyDelete[love that pic you included/never seen that before]
I didn't know about the show Weeds until I read your blog Dr. Ken! I see that youtube not only has the clip of the spanking scene, but also a clip of the episode before that where she is first threatened with a good hard spanking. They also have a clip of her looking at her red bottom in the mirror with a slight smile on her face and another clip of her having trouble sitting down later. I wonder if they will continue to develop this story line?
ReplyDeleteMichael--I'm almost done with season 3, and the show is much better than I anticipated.
ReplyDeleteHermione--I like the regular Mike's Hard Lemonade and the Hard Lime, as well. I'm not much of a drinker, though. I had a week of vacation back on August 4th, and I wanted to buy a six-pack of the Hard Lime. All they had was a 12-pack. I bought it anyway. Now here it is, nearly 4 weeks later, and I've still got 8 bottles left. In other words, it may last me until October.
Dave--party on, Dude! I found the photo on an old floppy disk. No idea where it came from or if it's part of a set.
Season--thanks for the info. My guess is that part of the storyline is as developed as it's going to get. We'll have to wait and see!
