Just a few things I came across while during a web search....
It seems likely that the 2nd and 3rd picture were done by the same person, as the figure of the Spanker is the same and used in both illustrations. And in case you're sitting there wondering, "Why does that figure look familiar?", it's because this well-known ad (well-known to spankos, anyway) was clearly used as his model...

Play Ball
The 2015 baseball season is upon us. Every team begins anew, and in many cities across the nation there's talk of rivalries and pennant races.
And then there's Minnesota, where the only thing I'm thinking about is the vague hope that the Minnesota Twins don't have a 5th straight season where they lose over 90 games. We got off to a dismal start, winning only 1 game out of the first 8, and managing to look utterly feeble while doing it. After winning the last 2 games to raise our record to 3-7--well, it's still disgusting, but I feel a little bit better about the local 9.
Will this be the year the Twins return to respectability and relevance, or at least a .500 record of 81 - 81?
Time will tell.
In the meantime, the beginning of the baseball season is a good excuse to run these pictures again.
