Happy 1-Year Anniversary!!!

It was (more or less) exactly one year ago today that I sat down in front of my computer and created a blog called "Spanking Minnesota". This has led to a surprising number of people out there asking, "You spank the whole state?"

Ha. Ha ha. Har-de-har.

What can I say? I'm a spanker--according to some ladies, a pretty good one--I'm into "spanking" and I live in "Minnesota". Seems like there's your blog title right there. And I have no plans to change it.

So far, there have been 133 posts (not counting this one) and over 140,000 visitors from about 102 different countries around the globe--including "unknown".

My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has stopped by and checked out my blog, whether it was a one-time thing just to look around or whether you became a regular reader and visitor. My thanks to all the wonderful people who took the time to leave comments. That always adds to the blogging experience, and it really helps to know I'm not posting just for my own amusement.

So, everyone--party at my place! We'll toast the past year, and start thinking about what we'll write about in the upcoming year. I imagine it'll be like before--a little of this, a little of that. Adult consensual spanking will be the main focus, but certainly won't be the only topic we talk about.

And if you're wondering what to do to help me celebrate my blogiversary, I say, take a tip from the couple in the picture below......

Now, that's the way to celebrate!

Bottoms up, ladies......

Dr Ken, a very happy anniversary to you. I enjoy reading your posts and look forward to more. Though I like to have a man over my knee I am not averse to being over one myself. Therefore, let me be the first to offer a friendly cyber bottom to spank on your anniversary.

Hugs
Mina

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, DR. KEN! (I love that photograph, BTW, love it a lot.) I wish I could write more but its -768 degrees outside and I need to warm the cars up. Sure you'll understand. :) ... Just wanted to wish you a great day and again, congratulations on the one year mark. It's been a blast!

Much love,

Remember the old Rascals song Good Lovin’?
Here’s a version for Dr. Ken, on the occasion of his One Year Blogiversary:

(Good spankin’ . . .)
(Good spankin' . . .)
(Good spankin' . . .)

I was feelin' . . . so bad,
I asked my rascally doctor just what I had,
I said, "Doctor, . . .
(Doctor . . .)
Mr. M.D., . . .
(Doctor . . .)
Now can you tell me, tell me, tell me,
What's ailin' me?"
(Doctor . . .)

He said, "Smack, spank, whack, spank, smack,
(Smack, spank, whack, spank, smack)
Yes, indeed, all you really need . . .
(Is good spankin’)
Give you that good, good spankin’ . . .
(Good spankin’)
All you need is smackin’ . . .
(Good smackin’)
Good spankin’, baby.

Baby please, scold me right . . . (Scold me right)
Now don't you want your baby to feel alright? (Feel alright)
I said Baby . . . (Baby) . . . now it's for sure . . . (it's for sure)
I got the fever, Baby, Baby, but you've got the cure
(You've got the cure)

He said, "Spank, smack, whack, smack, spank,
(Spank, smack, whack, smack, spank)
Yes, indeed, all you really need . . .
(Is good spankin’)
Give you that good, good smackin’ . . .
(Good smackin’ )
All I need is cuddlin’ . . .
(Good cuddlin’)
Good cuddlin’, baby.

Happy One Year Blogiversary, Dr. Ken! How could I not love a blog that contains 2 of my favorite things - spanking AND Minnesota. :-)
Your fellow Land O' Laker,
Season

Happy Anniversary my good friend! Your first year has passed so quickly because you provide such a fun, warm, friendly place to meet and greet fellow spankos. A place to banter and bandy, a place to laugh and make new friends, a place that feels like home. There is nothing more a person could ask, and so besides good wishes I also thank you, Dr. Ken.

I will take your advice about helping you celebrate your blogiversary, and warm Amanda's bottom sometime this weekend and let her know that it is in your honor.

Here's to many more years of blogging fun and warm spankings! Cheers, Dr. Ken.

Michael

Also, what a marvelous song Season has done in your honor, Dr. Ken.

Great work, Season, now how about letting Dr. Ken spank his fellow Minnesotan to help celebrate his blogiversary? It bet that would thaw you both out.

Happy Anniversary, Doc. Ken!!! Has it really been only a year? You are an institution in this here blogging community, and not to mention, quite the educator!

Love the song from Season, and the fun little squiggly thing from Mina!

The Lord Krishna and I will certainly take your suggestions on appropriate ways to celebrate. And there's a three-day weekend for this big party. Yeah!!

Keep on rockin!

Happy Blogiversary, Bones! Doesn't seem like a whole year, does it? Didn't to me, so I guess what they say is true (you know who THEY are, right?) that time flies when you're having fun. ;-)

Keep up the good work, Doc!

And I see our indefatigable song parodist is in rare form today. Hi, Season! Our neighborhood garage band (I played sax) used to do that song, way back before you discovered the real lyrics. Not sure I could have kept my fingers on the keys if we had played it your way though. *G*

So again, Dr. Ken, a laurel and hearty handshake for all your fine efforts, and BLOG ON!

Congratulations Dr. Ken on your one year anniversary. I hope you have many more. And I will gladly take a spanking from Michael in your honor, and I wouldn't do that for just anyone.

Hi Dr. Ken,
Happy Blog-iversary!!!
A little ditty to show my appreciation for your great posts and comments.....

Dr. Ken:
I'm a spankin’ doc, and I'm okay.
I sleep all night and I spank all day.
The Nurses:
He's a spankin’ doc, and he's okay.
He sleeps all night and he spanks all day.
Dr. Ken:
I spank bare bums. I eat my lunch.
I go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
And have buttered scones for tea.
The Nurses:
He spanks bare bums. He eats his lunch.
He goes to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays he goes shoppin'
And has buttered scones for tea.
He's a spankin’ doc, and he's okay.
He sleeps all night and he spanks all day.
Dr. Ken:
I spank bare bums. I skip and jump.
I like to press wild flowers.
I put on women's clothing
And hang around in bars.
The Nurses:
He spanks bare bums. He skips and jumps.
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing
And hangs around in bars?!
He's a spankin’ doc, and he's okay.
He sleeps all night and he spanks all day.
Dr. Ken:
I spank bare bums. I wear high heels,
Suspendies, and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie,
Just like my dear Papa.
The Nurses:
He spanks bare bums. He wears high heels,
Suspendies, and a bra?!
What's this? Wants to be a girlie?! Oh, My!
And I thought you were so rugged! Poofter!
All together now:
He's a spankin’ doc, and he's okay.
He sleeps all night and he spanks all day.
He's a spankin’ doc, and he's okaaaaay.
He sleeps all night and he spanks all day.

Happy Anniversary, Ken! And clearly Season and kristina deserve some kind of fitting response for their creative efforts. I'll leave that in your capable hands.

Bones, lol. What do you people get up to over on Devlin's blog?

Hugs,

Mina--thank you. Consider a cyber spank to be headed your way!

Gwen--thanks! I understand about the weather completely! It's supposed to start warming up here in Minnesota this weekend, but I'll believe it when I see it!
I like the photo, too--I was searching my hard drive looking for some other photo and came across this one, and I knew I had to use it for something. The 1-year blogiversary seemed to fit the bill!

Season--I was with you right up to the part about "cuddling". No comprende.... :-)
Seriously, thanks for the wonderful song!

Michael--you and Amanda certainly know how to celebrate! Thanks for the kind words and the good wishes.

Radha--I don't know if I can be considered as an "institution" after only one year, but thanks! (I might qualify to be IN an institution after one year....)
Thanks to the two of you for helping me celebrate! You're my favorite Midwestern couple!

Dev--actually, there were a few times when I couldn't think of what to post and it DID feel like a year--and then some small spark would ignite (probably from reading other wonderful blogs, such as, oh, Devlin O'Neill's Weblog) and I'd get back on track.
Let's keep having fun!

CJ--thanks! Can you do the Vulcan hand sign, too? (No, NOT the nerve pinch.....No! Not the...(thud)

Andrades Girl--Please...you'll turn my pretty head. :-)
That's awfully kind of you. I'm always happy when I can make people laugh, and I'm always happy if I can be of any help and support to those making their way through the wonderful world of spanking. I hope I can continue to provide you with that.
And I hope you're right about the spankings!

Amanda-- I am impressed and humbled. Michael is one lucky guy!

CJ--beans and whiskey? Have you been watching "Blazing Saddles" again?

Devlin--"Ayuh, that reminds me of the time the old Jim Beam plant exploded...."

Kristina--Monty Python lives! And you're much better looking than Michael Palin. :-) Thanks for the song tribute--that was great!

Indy--come over to Devlin's blog and find out! And get yourself back to Chicago one of these days...

Poppy--very nice of you to drop by! I've enjoyed your contributions to Devlin's blog. Thanks for the anniversary wishes!

Happy Anniversary.

This is one of favorite blogs, filled with great information, fun times and great people.

Thank You!

Dr. Ken, what a wonderful song tribute from Kristina, and to use Monty Python's lumberjack song is inspired. Monty Python has always been one of my favorites, and whenever I see Michael Palin I think of his scene in the Holy Grail movie where all the nuns ask him to spank them. That is one scene that should have been filmed to its rightful conclusion.

Great work Kristina. :)

Kristina! ROFL!

And BTW, the Spanking Doc's office called. You have an appointment next Thursday at 2 o'clock. Michael Palin will be there. Bring your own arnica.

DR. KEN - how about if I change "Good cuddlin'" to "Good rubbin'"? Or maybe I'll just add that on as another verse . . .

INDY - you would fit right in over on Dev's blog. Come on over! Your brand of witty brattiness would especially be appreciated by the members of the Brat Union who are always happy to learn new things. Especially your knack for cracking up Tops desperately trying to remain stern.

Dr. Ken said...

TS--thanks for the kind words. And it's good to have you here, too! What makes a good blog, more often than not, are the people who visit and leave comments. Thanks for contributing!

Michael--the Pythons definitely missed a great opportunity by cutting the scene in Castle Anthrax far too short!

Devlin--tell Kristina there's a severe penalty for not keeping an appointment.... :-)

Season--Hmmm...still needs work. But I agree, Indy would fit in perfectly over on Dev's Blog....
